The Buddy Poppy display was created by immediate past Auxiliary President Mary Anne Maggi. Post Commander Bruce Heil is assisted by his wife and Auxiliary member Maren Heil in calling numbers for door prices. Given away were two framed pieces of art and certificates for fish fry meals, for tacos, and for sliders. VFW Auxiliary members sign in with Post Adjutant Frank Star for the 2016 Veterans Day dinner hosted by Cottage Grove VFW Post 8752. Post Commander Bruce Heil leads the POW-MIA table of honor ceremony near during the 2016 Veterans Day dinner event.
