JOIN THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS

We want to welcome today's military service members and veterans into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is  service in the Global War on Terrorism, the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns, or ballistic missile submarine deterrent patrol. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
 
Join us as continue our mission: 
 
To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts.
To serve our veterans, the  military, and our communities.
To advocate on behalf of all veterans. 
 
If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you're eligible to join our ranks. See photos of qualifying awards below. 
 
To join us as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, contact a VFW Post near you. Text, email, call, or write us, but please contact us.
 
Eligibility for the VFW 
 
 
Membership through our local post in Cottage Grove
 
To join Cottage Grove VFW Post 8752 as a life member stop by the Post to fill out an application. Or, read these requirements, complete this application and send your signed application and payment to us. 
 
While life membership is the less-expensive option in the long run, we also offer annual memberships at $35 per year.

At Large Membership
 
Apply for an at-large membership for $45 through VFW National Headquarters at vfw.org/join.
 
Note that at-large members are assigned to the VFW at the state level and don't get voting rights and cannot hold an office in the VFW as can a member of a local Post. However, if you don't want to affiliate with a local post for some reason, you are very welcome to join us as an at-large member.
