Join us visiting Hospitalized Veterans

David Staehlin - 8/1/2017

Each month, VFW and Auxiliary members from the 4th District spend a couple of hours visiting veterans hospitalized at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.

On the 2nd Sunday of each month, at 12:45 p.m., VFW and Auxiliary members from the 4th District meet in the auditorium at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis before heading off at about 1 p.m. to visit patients in the various wards.

If the number of VFW and Auxiliary members aren't sufficient, we aren't able to cover all wards leaving some veterans without having a visit.

Would you join us in spending some time visiting hospitalized veterans to let them know that they're not forgotten? Many are from outside the area and don't have visitors. No experience is necessary.

Veterans Restorative Justice Act needs to pass

On Monday, July 20th, 2020, Veterans were let down by the Minnesota Legislators when they did not pass the Veterans Restorative Justice Act. However, it is believed that this will come back up during a third special session sometime around August 13th, 2020. It is time for all Veterans and all those that support Veterans to get the word out to our leaders that this bill must pass. The time is now to contact your legislators in Minnesota and let them know that you support the Veterans Restorative Justice Act.
